1. Rationale
In reviewing Practice, Section 6.7 was found to be too specific in referencing thermocouples that are not necessary. Will replace specific thermocouple types with a general statement to use the thermocouple for appropriate temperature range and refer to E230. Subcommittee decided to remove the forward references from C865 and place them in the appropriate method that would need to use fired concrete specimens(Ex. C583 (hot mor) is used to test castables but there is no reference to C865).
