1. Rationale
ASTM C 955 ballot item Removal of Penetration test Rationale: The modifications to the penetration test in C 645 have been completed. The nest step in this process is to modify C 954, C 955, and C 1002. In discussions at the task group level, it was requested that the penetration test be eliminated from C 955, as penetration and strip out problems with these studs are virtually non-existent. The task group discussed this and felt it was a reasonable request. This ballot item removes sections 5, 8, and figure 1 to comply with the task group decision.
