1. Rationale

This study was initiated because the standard has been in existence for a number of years, but it still lacks a precision and bias statement. It is proposed that a broad ILS be conducted on E466, in conjunction with a parallel ILS on E606, to develop a precision and bias statement and to better quantify the effects of specific variables allowed within the standard, such as specimen design.
