1. Rationale
In earlier ballots made during the effort to merge C1357 and C1072, Standard Test Methods for Measurement of Masonry Flexural Bond Strength, a number of comments were received. One of these comments suggested changes to Section 22. It was pointed out that the wording of Sections 22.2 and 22.1 might be misinterpreted. The task group is proposing the following changes to Section 22.1 to clarify that the sample to be tested must have at least five joints but there may be more than one prism in the sample.
