1. Rationale
Several changes are proposed to update Test Method C805/C805M so that it is consistent with currently available testing apparatus. The requirements for the verification anvil are proposed to be revised to performance requirements. New text is proposed to address the use of correction factors for the instrument orientation during testing. The prohibition on the use rebound hammer for acceptance of concrete is being revised to provide requirements on what needs to be done to estimate concrete strength based on rebound numbers.
