1. Scope
This practice covers snow and ice control guidelines for residential and commercial operations. This practice is intended to provide minimum guidelines necessary to ensure reasonably safe walking and working surfaces where snow and ice may impact the safety of pedestrians. Conformance with this practice will not alleviate all snow and ice hazards; however, conformance represents a minimum reasonable effort to reduce certain pedestrian risks associated with snow and ice.
