1. Scope
The Standard Guide for Training for Level II Rope Rescue (R2) Rescuer Endorsement was created to address the current gap in individual levels of rope rescue standards. It is intended to be used in conjunction with, and as an add-on to, F2752: Standard Guide for Training for Level I Rope Rescue (R1) Rescuer Endorsement.This guide is intended to define the training that would prepare an endorsed Level II Rope Rescuer (LRT-R2) or equivalent (under qualified supervision) to assist and support rope rescue operations at an intermediate level, including patient packaging and attendance, litter rigging, ascending and descending fixed ropes in a high angle environment, and constructing raising and lowering systems.
