1. Scope
This test method covers the procedure for evaluating shrinkage, in both wet and dry conditions, of woven, knitted and nonwoven backing fabrics designed for use in the manufacture of pile yarn floor coverings.
This method describing shrinkage needed to be split out from D2646, which otherwise is written as a guide, and describes no other test procedures.
