1. Scope
It is intended to be a reference guide for employers conducting research into the need and requirements for FR garments used for combustible dust hazard exposure.
OSHA has CD on its radar and the industries where this can be a problem typically have no idea where to look for protective clothing. Plus, no guide or standard currently exists that shows where to find all the various combustible dust industry specific standards and how FR garments might fit into the mix.
