1. Rationale
In discussions at the task group meeting (5/17/11) and main committee meeting (5/18/11) it has been found that it is impossible to accurately or with repetition, measure the D1-D2 measurements on the individual gaskets. It is requested that the manufacturers of these gaskets each attempt to find a way to accurately and repetitively measure these dimensions and forward their results and recommendations to the technical contact to compile and bring the information to the next task group meeting (11/15/11) for review. It will be determined if there is a procedure that can be used, or the best disposition of the measurement.
