1. Rationale
With the advent of the permeable unit paving systems, pavers with vertically oriented core holes should be allowed in these systems to increase voids to achieve required water entry. The core holes should be limited to inch or less to comply with ADA requirements. The cored units would still have to pass the physical property specification requirements.
