1. Rationale
Project X30-323: ASTM D635 is horizontal burn test method. There is currently wording in Section 7 that reflects requirements associated with recognition or classification per flame performance. Since this document is designed to describe a test method, not criteria for recognition, those elements associated with classification and recognition are not relevant. It is proposed that the wording be removed from the body of the standard.
