1. Rationale
There are several definitions of fly ash presented in the terminology document. The committee would like to have one which is used by D 22 fly ash, n--the finely divided particles of ash entrained in flue gases arising from the combustion of fuel. The other terms used in other standards would be deleted from the document. However, if you feel that more than one definition can exist in this terminology and you agree with the other fly ash definitions vote Negative and they will not be deleted. Affirmative will deleted the D 5759 definition from the document.
