1. Scope
The standard should serve as a method to obtain the percent plasticizer or other extractable components in such polymers as PVC. The extraction is performed in a column with solvents and involves a Soxhlet which is grammatically challenged before and after the process.
It is used for forensic analysis in regards to durability issues
