1. Scope

Scope: To provide guidance on how to address various issues involved in delivering performance and information feedback to assessors, panels and other stakeholders (such as management and suppliers/contractors). Including: Types of panels for which you would provide feedback Types of feedback Appropriate uses of feedback (why consider feedback, how to deliver feedback, and when feedback should or should not be used) This is intended for use with panels performing discrimination and descriptive/attribute testing. It does not include consumer acceptance/preference testing. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and to determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. Training and feedback are critical to the successful development and maintenance of sensory panels. This guide will be used to inform panel leaders and managers on effective communication strategies for panel training, monitoring and maintenance.
