1. Rationale
The proposed new procedure E focuses on the melt index measurement of polymer materials with a melt index lower than 1 gr/10min. Main issue in this procedure is to fulfill the need to establish a steady state flow for a single melt index measurement, in conformity with rheological principles in rheometry, to increase accuracy, precision and capability, not only consistency.
