1. Scope

This procedure describes a laboratory method to generate belt edge separation, via use of a standard roadwheel, in tires that have undergone accelerated laboratory aging per the practice described in ASTM F2838. This procedure may not produce representative End-Of-Test (EOT) conditions in any part of the tire except the belt edge.
