1. 1.1 This standard covers selected methods and formulas for constructing certain types of nonparametric statistical intervals. Tables giving the sample size for specified requirements are also included. The standard covers prediction and tolerance type intervals, confidence intervals for medians and other percentiles, and some details concerning the prediction of record values.
Many user communities coulsd benefit from this guide because - in cases where the normal distribution does not apply or in cases of attribute type data. The later condition very often exists in practice.
