1. Scope

This method will be applicable as a standard laboratory reference method for corn starch fermentation. This standard is needed and has been requested for years by the ethanol industry. It will serve as a standard reference method enabling evaluation of grain, yeasts, enzymes, and other fermentation products on a laboratory scale. A common standard will also allow direct comparison of results industry wide.
