1. Rationale
The title and scope of A33/A333M-10 should more accurately reflect the use of this specification in higher temperature applications but where guaranteed toughness is desired. For instance, Grade 6 is already permitted for use in ASME Section I boiler construction. The change in title and scope might also make this a more attractive specification for use in construction to the European PED. This action replaces expired WK17689. This action also deletes 1.2 from the Scope, because more than one SR is provided and because 1.2 is redundant with 3.1.11.
