E1111 does not conform to the ASTM guidelines for units. This revision is to bring E1111 into compliance by converting the standard to an combined inch-pound/SI standard as decided at the last task group meeting in September 2013. The task group felt the position of survey paths for ceiling specimens should not be close to the side walls. This was added in section 10.2.6. There exists a requirement for the distance of the standard barrier used in testing ceilings from the end walls of the test room. There does not exist any requirements for the location of furniture panels used as acoustical barriers or the standard barrier used in testing walls and furniture for the attenuation of reflected sound. Requirements were added in sections 18.104.22.168 and 9.2.3. A requirement was added to report the ceiling height and depth of plenum for ceiling specimens in section 12.1.4. The figures have been redrawn since they have become almost unreadable over the last several revisions. The task group wanted a plan view drawing of the ceiling configuration. This was added as a new figure 2 and the other figures have been renumbered. The figures have been redrawn to include the combined units.
