1. Scope
Provide minimum loads for design of monolithic or sectional precast concrete water and wastewater structures used in state highway right of way (ROW). Exceptions are concrete pipe, box culverts, utility structures,septic tanks, and material covered in Specification C478.
There is no standard for LRFD loads on water and wastewater structures. Federal government mandate is that each STATE DOT use LRFD design where projects are on State or Federal property/right of way.
