1. Rationale
The revised changes to this document are being submitted for your review and approval as part of the five year review. The standard conforms to the ASTM Form and Style Guide for rationalized inch-pound units. The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parenthesis are mathematical conversions to SI units and may be approximate and for information only and shall not be considered standard. These changes to the units should be considered editorial: technical changes were made that includes a scope change and a change to the annex.. In accordance with ASTM policy the change of unis are being balloted at the five year review.
