1. Rationale
It was voted in the November 2010 D27 committee meeting to add D 4052, D 5949 and D 5950 as alternative test method. D 4052 Test Method for Density and Relative Density of Liquids by Digital Density Meter will offer an automated method for this testing. D 5949 Test Method for Pour Point of Petroleum Products (Automated Pressure Pulsing Method) and D 5950 Test Method for Pour Point of Petroleum Products (Automated Tilt Method) offer automated methods for pour point testing.
