The proposed revisions cover several sections of the test method. 1. The title is being revised since the method is applicable to fireplace types other than just Low Mass fireplaces. 2. The revision regarding fuel moisture is for consistency with other solid fuel test methods. 3. A procedure to negate the possible impacts of air buoyancy when determining the final weight of of the remaining fuel at the end of the test run is added. 4. A clarification is added for the determination of nominal fuel length for the test fuel crib. 5. Language is added to expand application of the test method to include fireplaces with non-standard shapes. 6. A pre-conditioning period prior to testing is added for fireplaces with catalytic converters. 7. Temperature sensor specifications are amended for consistency with other solid fuel test methods. 8. The specification for construction of one kindling brand is amended as a simplification.
