1. Scope
1.1 This specification is intended to cover the design, manufacture, performance, operation, and testing of analyzers used in Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems which are approved to MEPC.184(59). 1.2 This specification shall address the requirements for analyzers as outlined in the 2008 NOx Technical Code and shall address the necessary performance requirements to ensure the robustness, the reliability, and the accuracy of such analyzers for use in Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems operating on-board ships. 1.3 This specification shall use the MCERTS- Performance Standards for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and the IACS E-10 requirements- Concerning Electrical Installations as the basis for the standard development.
