1. Scope
1.1 These terminology provide definitions for use describing geospatial relationships related to surface and underground mining and mine land reclamation. 1.1.1 These terms include those used at sites subject to the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA)2(1).
3.1 This practice addresses terminology common to geospatial data relative to mining and mine land reclamation. These terminology are significant to uniformity in understanding in their use.
