1. Rationale
- A consumer questioned the head marking interpretation of an ordered A354 grade BD fastener. The consumer advised the bolt had BD, but was not sure if it was ASTM A354 because of other alpha markings on the head of the product. It is recommended A354 also be part of the head marking inaddition to the grade markings. A quick review of F16 standards under sub committee F16.02 all head marking on head bolts have the applicable ASTM specification number on the bolt head. This change will bring this specification in line with other F16.02 specifications.
