    1. Scope

    This test method provides details of the micro-CT parameters to scan, reconstruct, and analyze the porous PMMA bone cement to determine the porosity and interconnectivity of the porous bone cement in a non-destructive way.

    This standard will allow for standardization of the method used for determining the pore-related properties of PMMA bone cement based materials. Further, this standard will define acceptable procedures that will facilitate the translation of experimental materials to the clinic.
