1. Rationale
Proposed revision to E 344: There are two definitions for thermistor currently appearing in section 3.1 of E 344. This work item proposes to delete the first definition and to retain and modify the second definition as shown. The first definition does not address the concept of a positive temperature coefficient thermistor and the information it contains regarding the negative temperature coefficient thermistor also appears in the second definition and the accompanying discussion.
