1. Scope
This test method covers the determination of hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in the parts per million volume (ppmv) to parts per billion (ppbv) range in C2 and C3 products. This method use capillary chromatography and Pulse Discharge Helium Ionization Detector for separation and detection.
The specification requirements for these perminate gases requires lower detection limits that this method addresses with recent technology improvements.
