1. Scope

This test method determines the puncture resistance of a protective clothing material specimen by measuring the force required to cause a sharp-edged puncture probe to penetrate through the specimen. The method will fill the gap in puncture testing methods between blunt probes used in F1342 and hypodermic needle probes.
