1. Rationale
Footnote H is to be added to Table 2 hardness values for alloy S35115. For sheet thicknesses less than 0.010 inch standard Brinell and Rockwell B hardness cannot be measured. Only microhardness can be measured. However, as stated in E384-08a Section 11 There is no generally accepted method for accurate conversion of Knoop or Vickers microindentation hardness numbers to other hardness scales. Thus footnote H (Not applicable for thicknesses under 0.010 inch [0.25mm]) is needed for thin sheet.
