ASTM WK28762

Revision of D1176 - 98(2008) Standard Practice for Sampling and Preparing Aqueous Solutions of Engine Coolants or Antirusts for Testing Purposes

    (What is a Work Item?)

    Active Standard: D1176 - 14

Developed by Subcommittee: D15.06 | Committee D15 | Contact Staff Manager

    1. Rationale

It has been discovered that the sample preparation instructions refer to D1176 which includes a volumetric instruction that does not correctly model the use of antifreeze concentrates in actual practice and does not correctly describe the intent of D15.03 Subcommittee on Physical Properties. Therefore, this TG is created to clarify the volumetric procedure in D1176.
