1. Rationale
For small consumer items where the protective transport packaging is removed before placement on store shelves, D4169 provides package performance testing only up to the point where the item is placed on the store shelf. There is no testing protocol available for the final leg of the journey, from store shelf to customers home. This work item will develop a test protocol to address that final part of the journey.
