1. Rationale
The REFERENCES listed at the end of the standard are dated from the 1950s through the mid-1990s and require review to determine current relevancy. New information currently available will also be reviewed and considered for addition to the REFERENCES along with recommendations for possible revisions in D4169 to reflect the new information. Also- drop testing requirements in 10.2 Manual Handling currently list only one sequence of drops no matter how many samples are tested. Since different sequences of drop may lead to failures not otherwise seen, several new sequences will be suggested when multiple samples are tested.
