    1. Scope

    1.1 This test method applies to the determination of hydrogen in steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys in concentrations from 0.000X to 0.000X %. 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. For specific precautionary statements, see Section 9.

    No standard currently exists for the determination of hydrogen in steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys and is needed by industry to verify compliance with compositional specifications.
