2. SCOPE 2.1 The scope of the Committee shall be the development of test methods, specifications, terminology, and practices relating to glass and glass products. The Committee shall encourage research and the promotion of knowledge concerning the properties of such materials and products, the systems used to produce them, and the services required to support them. The work of this Committee will be coordinated with other ASTM committees and with other organizations having mutual interest.
