1. Rationale

The current method of preparing a test specimen involves applying the pressure of a 12.7 kg (28 lb)roller. This amount is believed to be significantly more pressure than would applied in an appliation of self adhering membrane on a below-grade wall. This revision proposes a lower weight for the roller to be used in preparing test specimens using self-adhering membrane.
