1. Scope
This guide establishes the international minimum training standard, as it relates to general and specific knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA), for authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) SAR (Search and Rescue) Coordinators, such as a county sheriffs SAR coordinator, a state SAR coordinator, or a federal agency SAR Coordinator or military SAR Coordinator. Every person identified as a SAR Coordinator shall have been trained to this level.
