1. Rationale
Certain notes in the current D5453 standard test method (STM) do not fully comply with contemporary ASTM form and style Blue-Book requirements regarding their content. Task group goals include: 1.Examination of the existing notes in D5453. 2.Preparation of one or more ballot items that will appropriately revise certain notes into the main body of the STM, modify the note and/or delete the note from the STM. 3.When practical, ballot each note revision separately.
