1. Scope
This guide will provide Safety Personnel with the information and processes necessary to perform the following: 1.1Select appropriate hazardous Material detection equipment 1.2Maintain this equipment in a manner that supports its immediate use when required 1.3Store the instrument using proper methods and conditions between use, and long term. 1.4Calibrate the instruments in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and regulatory requirements at appropriate intervals, using appropriate standards, and maintaining proper documentation of calibration and repair. 1.5Use the appropriate type of instrument for the hazard present as recommended by the manufacturer for its intended application, performing functional checks, and knowing any limitations of use.
