1. Rationale
At the January 2010 meeting, the subcom agreed to initiate a work item to add a nonmandatory appendix to the standard. The appendix would include a list of technician certification agencies ex: ACI, WACEL, NICET)which could be used by a laboratory to certify their technicians. It was felt the information could be useful to laboratories using the standard.
