1. Scope
Develope a guide used to evaluate Sealers & Coatings for use on concrete. These products are used to protect or extend the durability of the concrete. Testing will be based on a comparison to untreated control specimens, and overall improvemnt in perfomrnace will be presented.
Currently no standard exists. The users and producers of these products need a baseline test method for comaprison purposes. Currently producers randomly select tests for product performance issues/concerns. A very high perccentage of them use NCHRP Report 244, Series II testing.
