1. Rationale
Older apparatus requires an external source of liquid coolant in order to dissipate heat generated by the Peltier device and other electronic components. Newer models of the apparatus have built-in internal sources of liquid coolant and do not require external sources. Sections 6.6, 7.1, and 9.2 referencing the use of external coolant are revised. Footnote 5 gives additional information on which model series utilize external versus internal sources of coolant.
