Work Item: ASTM WK26069 - New Specification for Liquid Applied, Two Component, Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) Roof Membranes

Developed by Subcommittee: D08.18 | Committee D08 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Scope

This specification covers in-situ liquid applied, two component, PMMA intended to form a reinforced roof membrane, once cured. 1.2 Two component, polyacrylics are characterized by their ability to cure or solidify upon mixing the two components consisting of a liquid component and catalyst. 1.3 The tests and property limits used to characterize the cured membrane are values intended to ensure minimum quality. In-place roof system design criteria, such as material compatibility, wind uplift and fire resistance, among others, are factors, which shall be considered, but are beyond the scope of this standard. 1.4 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values stated in parentheses are for information only. 1.5 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, is any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
