1. Rationale
1) Expand Scope (from 93-99% to 10-99%); 2) Provide example calculations for preparing standards and correcting for purity and water content; 3) Require multiple calibration standards covering the range of ethanol analyzed; 4)Require linear calibration curve with an r-squared value greater than 0.99; 5) Require verification that the ethanol curve approaches zero by restricting the y-intercept; 6) Implementation of QC to monitor both precision and accuracy; and 7)Require review of chromatograms and peak integration. 8) A round robin will be conducted.
