1. Scope
The proposed scope of this standard is to develop a list of terms that describe conditions observed during a facade inspection.
Currently, professionals (architects and engineers)performing facade inspections are using terms that describe observed conditions interchangeably even though they may have separate meanings. For instance, corroded wall-tie vs. deficient wall-tie. A deficient wall-tie is not necessarily corroded but a corroded wall-tie is deficient.
