1. Scope
This guide provides direction for assessment of a laboratory testing petroleum products and lubricants in the oil industry. It is intended to help an auditor to review the most important technical and quality aspects of a laboratory operation. It will also help the laboratory management to evaluate their laboratories performance for self-assessment. A numerical score is assigned at the end of the evaluation.
This standard is needed to assess the laboratory performance on a technical basis, and to evaluate its performance based on technical dpcumentation.
