1. Scope

This test method describes the procedure for determining the osidation drying rate of sheetfed inks and overprint varnishes. There was a discussion at the January 2009 D01.56 Subcommittee meeting that there should be created a manual procedure to determine the open time of an oxidizing ink on a printed press.
